Part of East Brunswick Village, one of the inner north's largest urban renewal projects, planned as a self-sustaining community where daily needs are a short walk away. Elm Grove marks the village entrance from the north through a pedestrian link extending Fasteners Way to the street.

The design uses a series of ordered concrete frames, with balconies and rooftop terraces opening to the north. Sustainability was central, with rooftop solar, passive design, water-efficient fittings, motion and daylight sensors, onsite waste management, energy-efficient cooking, low-toxicity materials and double glazing.
